Would you like a winter visit and skate with your HCOS friends?
We are having an afternoon of skating at the Kelowna outdoor skating rink at Stuart Park. Skating is FREE, and rentals are available for anyone that needs them. I would suggest phoning Bladez Skate Rental: 250-215-4458, if you need rentals.
Kids Skates: $4.00
Adult Skates: $5.00
Helmets: $2.00
E-Z Bars: $2.00
*Cash only.
**This is NOT a drop-off event. Parents are responsible for the care and supervision of their child(ren) at all times.

I give HCOS permission to use the likeness of the applicant and parties accompanying them to a Learning Group activity in media such as videos, photos and testimonials to be published on websites, social media and video sharing platforms (e.g., YouTube) for promotional and training purposes. HCOS agrees not to use the name(s) of the registrant or attendees without separate written approval. *

Learning Group Code of Conduct and Cancellation Policy:
- • I acknowledge that I have read and agree to adhere to the LG Code of Conduct and HCOS Policies and Procedures throughout my/our participation in this event.
- • I will communicate with my support teacher and/or school that I have applied to participate in this Learning Group opportunity. I understand that my participation and work completed may count towards my child’s academic content and competency development, and that my support teacher welcomes my communication about the LG activity.
- • I authorize the Learning Group coordinator and/or instructor to administer first aid and/or attend to medical situations that may arise, if required.
- • To best support students that may require supports in a group setting appropriately, I authorize the Learning Group coordinator and/or instructor to contact my support teacher.
- • Please note: It is very important to disclose all pertinent information about areas where your child may experience challenges in a group setting. If information is withheld during the application process and later discovered, it may not be possible for HCOS to offer the necessary supports, and your child may be asked to leave the program.
- • Acknowledgement of Risk: HCOS does not require nor endorse students participating in activities with increased levels of risk to fulfill course requirements, nor does the school assume any liability for injury or death while engaged in course activities. Therefore if a student chooses to participate, they acknowledge and understand the nature of the activity and the level of risk involved. Families must ensure that they have appropriate insurance to cover student participation, as HCOS does not provide insurance coverage for students.
